What Stack0 adds when Claude builds your app
Claude can write an app. To run one, you also need a framework, a database, sign-in, permissions, hosting, a domain, and a way to ship changes. Stack0 is those parts, built for Claude and other coding agents.
Decisions Stack0 has already made
On its own, Claude makes each of these choices for every new project, and each one is a place a project can go wrong. On Stack0 the answer is already in the framework.
- Which framework?
- On its own: Next.js, Remix, SvelteKit, Rails, or another
- On Stack0: Pylon
- Which database, and where it runs?
- On its own: Postgres on a hosted service, MySQL, MongoDB, SQLite
- On Stack0: Built into Pylon. SQLite to start, Postgres when you need it
- How do people sign in?
- On its own: An auth service, a library, or hand-written sessions
- On Stack0: Built in: email and password, Google, organizations, and roles
- Who can read and change which data?
- On its own: Checks written into each route
- On Stack0: A policy on each table, denied until a rule allows it
- How does the page talk to the server?
- On its own: REST, GraphQL, tRPC, or server actions
- On Stack0: Server functions with a generated, typed client
- How do pages show new data without a reload?
- On its own: WebSockets, polling, or a realtime service
- On Stack0: Live queries, built in
- Where do uploaded files go?
- On its own: S3, R2, or an image service
- On Stack0: Pylon file storage, private unless made public
- How do scheduled and background jobs run?
- On its own: A cron service, a queue, or a second server
- On Stack0: Schedules and jobs declared in the app
- Where does it run?
- On its own: Vercel, Fly, AWS, or a server you manage
- On Stack0: Stack0 Cloud
- How does a change reach production?
- On its own: CI pipelines, Docker, build scripts
- On Stack0: One deploy command, or Publish in Stack0 Build
- Where do secrets and settings live?
- On its own: .env files and each host's settings page
- On Stack0: Project secrets. A deploy stops when a required one is missing
- How does the site send email and track visitors?
- On its own: An email service and an analytics tool, each set up separately
- On Stack0: Stack0 email and Stack0 Analytics, on the same account

Why build on Stack0
The risky parts are already written
Sign-in, sessions, and who can read which row are part of Pylon. Every table is closed until a rule opens it, so a missed check in generated code does not leak data.
One project instead of a dozen services
Schema, permissions, server functions, and pages live in one TypeScript project with one runtime. Claude does not have to wire a database, an auth provider, and a host together.
Changes go live from a chat
Ask Stack0 Build for a change. It edits the project, shows a preview, and publishes when you approve. Each publish is saved with its commit.
Written for coding agents
Pylon publishes a guide, an llms.txt, and an MCP server, so Claude writes Pylon code that works the first time instead of guessing at an API.
Tools for the business, not only the code
Analytics, SEO, feedback, and AI agents use the same account and the same data, so the site keeps improving after launch.
The code stays yours
Projects are normal TypeScript. Download them, push them to GitHub, or self-host Pylon, which is MIT licensed.
When Claude on its own is enough
Stack0 is for apps and sites that run, keep data, and change. Skip it for:
- A one-off script, a spreadsheet formula, or a data clean-up.
- A static page with no data, no sign-in, and no forms.
- A codebase that already has its framework, host, and deploy process.
Questions
Does Stack0 Build use Claude?
It uses the model you pick: Claude, GPT, or another model in the list. Stack0 is the framework, hosting, and tools around the model, so the same parts work with any of them.
Can I keep using Claude Code?
Yes. Build a Pylon project in Claude Code with the Pylon guide, deploy it to Stack0 Cloud, and connect Claude Code to the Stack0 MCP server to use Feedback, SEO, and your other Stack0 products from the terminal.
Do I own the code?
Yes. Every project is normal source code. Download it, move it to your GitHub repository, or keep working in Build.
What if I want to leave Stack0?
Pylon is open source under the MIT license. Run your project on your own server with the same code.
What does it cost?
One $20 monthly subscription covers every Stack0 product and includes $10 of usage credits. Usage past the credit is billed at the listed rates.
