Stack0 SEO

Stack0 SEO reports on a website's Google search traffic. It reads Google Search Console data for each site, checks which sitemap pages Google has indexed, and crawls the site for technical problems. It is a hosted app at seo.stack0.dev. There is nothing to install.

Open SEO

Go to seo.stack0.dev/dashboard and sign in with your Stack0 account. The dashboard opens the last organization you used. Each organization has its own URL, /dashboard/orgs/<org>, and its own list of sites. Organizations and members come from Stack0 Cloud. You cannot create an organization in SEO.

Add a site

  1. On the Sites page, click Add site.
  2. Enter the domain, for example example.com. Each domain can be added once.
  3. SEO reads the site's name and icon from its home page and opens the site's settings.

A site has four pages in its sidebar: Search, Indexing, Audit, and Settings. Any member of the organization can add a site. The domain cannot change after you add it.

Connect Search Console

The Search and Indexing pages need Google Search Console. An owner or admin of the organization connects it.

  1. Open the site's Settings page.
  2. In Google Search Console, click Connect Google.
  3. Sign in with a Google account that has access to the site in Search Console.
  4. Back in SEO, pick the property and click Use this property. The first sync starts.

The connection has read-only access. If the Google account has no verified properties, verify the site in Search Console first. A daily sync pulls the last 90 days of searches and pages. Google finalizes each day about three days late, so each sync pulls those days again.

Disconnect deletes the synced search data and the index results for the site, and revokes Google access.

Read the Search report

The Search page shows clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position for the last 7, 28, or 90 days. Below that is a table of searches with clicks, impressions, position, and the top page for each, and a table of pages.

Each search gets labels. Click a label to filter the table.

  • Working

On page one (position 10 or better), at least 5 clicks, and a click-through rate at least 80% of what that position usually gets.

  • Needs focus

Clicks fell by 30% or more against the previous period, and impressions stayed at 70% or more of before.

  • Opportunities

At least 50 impressions at position 4 to 20.

  • Dropped

Average position is 3 or more places worse than in the previous period.

  • Low CTR

At least 50 impressions in the top 20, and a click-through rate under half of what the position usually gets.

  • Page 2

    Average position 11 to 20.

  • New

Impressions now, none in the previous period.

  • Lost

Impressions in the previous period, none now.

  • Branded / Non-branded

Whether the search contains one of the site's brand terms.

New, Lost, Needs focus, and Dropped compare two periods. They appear only when the synced data covers the whole previous period.

Track indexing

Index tracking is off by default. On the Indexing page, an owner or admin clicks Turn on index tracking.

Each day SEO reads the site's sitemaps and asks Google's URL Inspection API about up to 300 pages. The page shows pages tracked, checked, indexed, and not indexed. The Not indexed list gives the reason Google reports for each page and when Google last crawled it.

Audit the site

SEO crawls every active site each Monday morning (UTC). An owner or admin can also click Crawl now on the Audit page, at most once an hour per site. A crawl reads up to 500 pages and usually takes a few minutes. The Audit page does not need Search Console.

The report counts errors, warnings, and notices, and groups the pages under each issue with the fix.

  • Errors: a page returns an error, a page links to a broken page, a page could not be loaded.
  • Warnings: missing or duplicate title, missing or duplicate meta description, missing H1, a noindex tag, a link to a redirect.
  • Notices: a title over 60 characters, a meta description over 160 characters, more than one H1, fewer than 200 words, a canonical URL that points to another page.

Site settings

  • Brand terms: searches that contain one of these get the Branded label. One per line. If you leave it empty, SEO uses the name from the domain.
  • Name: the name shown in the dashboard.
  • Archive site: removes the site from the list and stops its daily sync, index checks, and weekly crawl. The data is kept. Restore starts them again. Owners and admins only.

Billing

SEO is part of the Stack0 Platform plan, $20 a month, with every other Stack0 product. You buy and manage the plan on Stack0 Cloud at cloud.stack0.dev/dashboard/orgs/<org>/billing. An organization with no active plan sees a Manage billing link instead of its sites. Crawls are not billed to your organization today. See pricing.

Connect a coding agent

Every organization can connect Claude Code and other MCP clients to the Stack0 MCP server at https://cloud.stack0.dev/mcp. Set it up from the organization's Agents page on Stack0 Cloud, at cloud.stack0.dev/dashboard/orgs/<org>/settings/agents. For Claude Code:

bash
claude mcp add --transport http stack0 https://cloud.stack0.dev/mcp

SEO does not serve MCP tools yet.
